Results from Race 1 at the Portuguese WorldSBK at Portimao, round two of the 2026 season. Nicolo Bulega took his fourth race win of the season in Race 1 at Portimao, beating his teammate Iker Lecuona by 2.5 seconds. Yari Montella was second early on, but crashed at turn 14 on lap five, promoting Lecuona to second and Miguel Oliveira to third, the Portuguese taking his first podium finish in WorldSBK. Alex Lowes was fourth ahead of Sam Lowes in fifth, while Xavi Vierge rounded out the top-six, beating Garrett Gerloff and Axel Bassani to that. Behind, Alvaro Bautista and Danilo Petrucci completed the top-10. Full WorldSBK results from Race 1 in Portimao are below. Nicolo Bulega set a new lap record in Portimao to take his second pole position of the season ahead of Iker Lecuona. Yari Montella made it a Ducati 1-2-3. Miguel Oliveira was fourth, then Sam Lowes and Xavi Vierge completed the top-six. Alex Lowes, Lorenzo Baldassarri, and Danilo Petrucci make up row three later on, while Axel Bassani rounded out the qualifying top-10.
