Archie McDonald to ride Joe Rascal Harley in Bagger World Cup

Archie McDonald’s rise through the Australian ranks was already a compelling story by the time he started splitting his 2024 season between Europe and the ASBK paddock. That year served as his first real taste of life as a rider trying to carry momentum on two continents, the logistical challenges, privateer-level pressure, and flashes of speed that had people paying attention.

In 2025, Archie grew further as a rider and as a person. There were the disappointments of being left high and dry by a team in Europe, and redemption with a new team as the season came to a close.

Here in Australia, Stop & Seal always had his back, and despite Achie missing a round of the ASBK Supersport Championship through his racing commitments in Europe, he was only just beaten to the title by team-mate Jack Mahaffy.

Even veteran observers noted that McDonald’s racecraft had matured, calmer at the start, cleaner in traffic, and more decisive when the win was on the table.

2026 looks to be a massive shift in trajectory, but that move brings a huge opportunity to impress on the world stage in a field that will have its fair share of highly experienced veterans with many championships to their name.

The 2026 Baggers World Cup, set to serve as a global showcase alongside selected MotoGP events, and Archie will ride alongside a highly experienced teammate in the Joe Rascal Team under the guidance of a Team Manager who has a couple of World Championships under his belt as a rider.  Those names will be announced at a later date.

2026 will be the first truly global running of the series. New tracks, new technical rules, and a lot of unknowns. It’s the perfect environment for a rider eager to break free of the expectations others have placed on him.

The Baggers World Cup isn’t a detour for McDonald.  It’s an evolution.  And it might be the platform that finally shows just how much speed and talent might have so far been hidden beneath the surface… One thing is clear: the next chapter will be loud, fast, and unlike anything he’s ever done before.

The 2026 Championship features six action-packed rounds during MotoGP weekends, with two races per round bringing Baggers to some of the world’s most iconic circuits across Europe.
