2026-2027 ASBK Championship calendar
The Penrite Australian Superbike Championship presented by Pirelli will move to a new summer format for 2026-27, with a six-round schedule set to run from October 2026 through to March 2027.
The new calendar opens with a high-profile appearance at the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix at Phillip Island on October 23-25, before the championship continues at The Bend, One Raceway, Queensland Raceway and Phillip Island again, ahead of a grand final under lights at Sydney Motorsport Park in March.
The shift is a significant one for Australia’s premier domestic road racing championship, taking the series into warmer months and potentially making it a more viable proposition for international riders and Australian expatriates looking to contest a full season.
ASBK 2026-27 starts with MotoGP at Phillip IslandMotorcycling Australia CEO Peter Doyle said the change marked a major step in the championship’s ongoing development.
“This is a tremendously exciting time for the ASBK Championship as it continues to evolve and push new boundaries,” Doyle said. “It’s a seismic shift, and one that will elevate ASBK to a new level and amplify the amazing level of talent competing in the championship, from the stars of tomorrow in the FIM Oceania Junior Cup to the extraordinarily competitive Superbike class. There’s already a real buzz about the ASBK summer calendar, and we look forward to seeing it come to life in October at the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.”
