SX3 and 85
The 2025 Boost Mobile Australian Supercross Championship concluded on Sunday at the BP Adelaide Grand Final, with the SX3 and SX85 classes delivering a tense finish to the season as both titles were decided in the final races.
SX3SX3: Kingsford Prevails in Two-Race Decider
The SX3 Championship came down to two closely fought mains, with the points picture shifting throughout the afternoon. Ryder Malinoski entered the finale with a four-point margin, but the first race immediately tightened the title battle.
Kayd Kingsford produced the response he needed, winning Main Event 1 while Malinoski slipped backwards through the field. Kingsford’s victory brought him level on points with Jack Deveson heading into the final race of the year.
Kayd KingsfordIn Main Event 2, Kingsford made a clean start and took control early. Leading from the opening lap, he managed the race without error to secure the overall and claim the 2025 SX3 Championship. Deveson finished second in the standings, with Malinoski third.

SX85 Futures
The SX85 Futures category also saw a dramatic conclusion. Points leader Blake Bohannon arrived in Adelaide with a 30-point buffer and appeared well placed to close out the title across the two-race format.
However, a heavy fall in a rhythm section during the opening main left Bohannon remounting to recover points while rival Ollie Birkett reduced the deficit with a strong ride.
The second main brought no relief. Carrying a strapped thumb from the earlier incident, Bohannon was involved in another crash at Turn 2 and again had to fight back through the field to protect his advantage.
85 Round Podium – Cannon on top ahead of Birkitt and KruikDespite the setbacks, his combined results across both races were enough to secure the 2025 SX85 Futures title. Birkett finished the season runner-up, with Luis Cannon completing the podium.
85 cc Championship 2025 – Blake Bohannon the winner on 121 points ahead of Ollie Birkitt on 115 and Luis Cannon on 10685 Heat One
