Bezzecchi with Aprilia through 2028

With several high-profile rider moves still awaiting official confirmation – including Fabio Quartararo to Honda, Jorge Martin to Yamaha and Pedro Acosta to Ducati – one major piece of the MotoGP rider market has now been locked in.

Aprilia Racing has confirmed a two-year contract extension with Marco Bezzecchi, securing the Italian with the Noale-based manufacturer through the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

Marco Bezzecchi

“I’m very happy to have renewed for another two years. From the first day I signed, I had the goal of building a long-term project in mind. I’m happy to have found the support of the entire team and the entire factory in Noale. I hope to be able to bring them a lot of joy, just as they will surely bring me.”

Marco Bezzecchi finished the 2025 season on a high and led the way for Aprilia

Bezzecchi joined Aprilia Racing for the 2025 season and has already become the most successful rider in the team’s MotoGP history. Across the year, he claimed three Grand Prix victories at Silverstone, Portimão and Valencia, along with sprint race wins at Misano, Mandalika and Phillip Island.

The 26-year-old recorded 15 podium finishes and secured five pole positions at Austria, Misano, Mandalika, Portimão, and Valencia, ultimately finishing third in the championship with 353 points.

Massimo Rivola – Aprilia Racing CEO

“We are obviously very satisfied, because the renewal was our priority. We wanted to celebrate the signing in a particularly fun way, which I believe fits perfectly with Marco’s personality. We have built a path by laying solid foundations, and the fact that Marco has chosen to stay with us, despite the various offers he has received, makes us enormously happy and gives even more value to the work and spirit of this team.”
