Round One – Phillip Island
Kawasaki Supersport
Race Three
After experiencing almost perfect conditions on Friday and Saturday, the drizzle had arrived ahead of the final ASBK Supersport bout of the weekend just before midday on Sunday at Phillip Island. Not only were tyres being swapped on the grid, but those with the means were also changing their rear shock to a softer option to suit the damp conditions.

The track was drying quickly, and their wets were quickly struggling.
Will Nassif then hit the front as the race reached two-thirds distance, as Tom Edwards and Top Toparis looked to turn the leading quartet into a sextet.

Tom Toparis was looking for a way past Olly Simpson at every turn as Farnsworth and Edwards traded blows over the final step on the rostrum.
Olly Simpson and Tom Toparis split either way around a backmarker at Hayshed; it was a heart-in-mouth moment for all concerned.
Simpson then had a big slide at Lukey, which gave Toparis the opportunity to take the lead.
