Honda HRC Progressive will enter the 2026 AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross season carrying strong momentum after a highly successful 2025 campaign that delivered three professional AMA titles.

With HRC retaining the same rider and staff line-up for a third consecutive year, the focus now turns to the new season, which begins in Anaheim on January 10.

American Honda’s factory effort has claimed 16 professional AMA championships over the past seven years, and the core of that success remains firmly in place.

Leading the squad once again is Australia’s Jett Lawrence, who at just 22 years of age has already accumulated 10 professional AMA titles.

In 2025, Lawrence secured both the AMA Pro Motocross and SuperMotocross championships, reinforcing his status as one of the sport’s benchmark riders. After injury prevented him from defending his AMA Supercross crown last season, reclaiming that title is a clear target for 2026.

Hunter Lawrence will again line up alongside his younger brother aboard a factory CRF450RWE.

Since stepping into the premier 450 class in 2024, Hunter has established himself as a consistent front-runner, finishing runner-up in four major series over the past two seasons.

Together, the Lawrence brothers have also played a central role in Team Australia’s consecutive Motocross of Nations victories, underlining their strength as a pairing heading into the new year.

Honda HRC Progressive’s 250 program remains unchanged, with Chance Hymas and Jo Shimoda continuing on the CRF250RWE. Hymas showed front-running speed across both Supercross and Pro Motocross in 2025 before injury curtailed parts of his season.

Now fully recovered from ACL surgery, the Idaho native is set to contest the 250 West Region Supercross series.

Shimoda enters 2026 following the most successful year of his career, highlighted by race wins across all three AMA series and the SuperMotocross 250 title. However, his return from an off-season back injury remains to be confirmed.

Behind the scenes, stability is again a hallmark of the Honda program. Brandon Wilson continues to oversee American Honda’s Racing Department, while Team Manager Lars Lindstrom begins his fifth season in charge. Grant Hutcheson and Shane Drew remain as crew chiefs for the 450 and 250 programs, respectively, supported by a well-established group of mechanics who have worked with the team’s riders for multiple seasons.

Despite the recent run of success, the motivation within the camp is clear. Honda is eager to regain the premier-class AMA Supercross title after narrowly missing out in 2025, and both riders and management have pointed to unfinished business indoors.

With a proven platform, continuity across the team, and a rider roster that has already delivered at the highest level, Honda HRC Progressive heads into the 2026 AMA Supercross, Pro Motocross and SuperMotocross Playoffs aiming to remain a central force across all three championships.
