The 450SMX Main Event fired into life with Cooper Webb claiming the holeshot, immediately putting himself in clean air as Eli Tomac and Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammate Aaron Plessinger slotted in behind. Race winners Chase Sexton and Ken Roczen followed in fifth and sixth, respectively, while championship leader Hunter Lawrence began seventh.

Webb controlled the early laps, riding a tidy line through the soft, heavily rutted surface as Tomac shadowed him in second. Roczen established himself in third aboard his Progressive Insurance Cycle Gear Suzuki, and before long, the leading trio had broken clear of the field.

As the race broached the halfway mark, Tomac began to apply sustained pressure. The Yamaha rider chipped away at Webb’s advantage before executing a clean, decisive pass for the lead. Once in front, he immediately stretched a buffer of several seconds.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

Lapped traffic briefly brought Webb back to within a second, but Tomac responded, reasserting control and managing the deteriorating circuit with precision to neutralise any late challenge.

Behind them, Roczen’s podium hopes came under increasing threat from Lawrence. The Honda HRC Progressive rider had recovered strongly from an early mistake to climb from seventh to fourth and was clearly the faster man in the closing stages.

However, an aggressive charge through the sand section proved costly. Lawrence tangled with Roczen, bringing both riders down. Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Justin Cooper capitalised to move into third. Lawrence remounted in fourth, while Roczen rejoined deep in the field.

Out front, Tomac remained composed to secure his 56th career victory, winning by 9.2 seconds over Webb. It marked Webb’s third consecutive podium in second, while Cooper celebrated his first podium finish of the season in third.

Lawrence salvaged fourth in what could prove a critical result, with Sexton rounding out the top five aboard his Monster Energy Kawasaki. Roczen suffered most from the collision, finishing a season-low 10th after losing seven positions.

Championship Picture

Lawrence’s recovery ride may ultimately prove decisive. He retains the championship lead by a single point over Tomac. Roczen and Webb are now tied for third in the standings, 11 points adrift.

Quotes

Eli Tomac

“Seattle was the usual conditions today, a tough track to really get ahold of and get comfortable on, but I saved the best for last – I got the best start and had my best ride in the Main Event. I cleaned up some lines, did some different jump combinations, and this was just typical Seattle, and one of the toughest rounds that we have on the schedule. I am glad to come here and get back on top, as the last couple of weekends have been a little tough, so we’re back at it!”

Eli Tomac
Cooper Webb

“Overall, it was fun, with a side of sketch. The track was really gnarly. It’s always gnarly here, but this [track] still has to hit the rhythms [sections], they’re pretty big. It was brutal. Obviously, Eli [Tomac] picked up on a good line and kept doing it and got past me. I tightened up for sure with a little arm pump, but it is what it is. At the end of the day, I can’t be hitting whoops like that and expect to win. We’ll get back to work.”

Justin Cooper

“It’s just Seattle. This track was absolutely gnarly. With 20 [minutes] plus 1 [lap] out there with these 450s, it gets really demanding. I just put together solid laps and got a little gift from [Lawrence and Roczen]. Sometimes you’ve got to stay in it, and that’s what we did tonight. Really pumped to get back on the box.”

Justin Cooper
Malcolm Stewart

“Seattle is always an interesting race. I always feel like I leave here with a positive mindset and decent results, and tonight we got sixth. Obviously, we wanted that top-five position, but considering how the beginning of the year has started, a sixth is a really good result for us! I felt really good all day. Practice was strong and it kind of starts from there, right? You know, just getting into that positive mindset, so yeah, Seattle was a good night, especially with the way the track was. It was pretty brutal out there – everybody was crashing and making big mistakes – but we kept it on two wheels, and I was being smart with it. Now we head back indoors to Arlington and continue to build!”

Maclolm Stewart
Aaron Plessinger

“Wrapping up Round 6 in Seattle, it was an alright night for me. I struggled a little in practice, but then got a pretty good start in the Heat Race and finished third, and then made another good start in the Main Event. Half of that one was solid, but it just kind of fell apart after that, so I’ve just got to be better. We’re getting back towards consistent riding and not making so many mistakes, and I think heading back to Florida this week will do me good – we’ll get some riding done and work on some things. The positives are that we got two good starts tonight and had some good laps, so we’ll build on that in Arlington!”

250 Main

Round six of the Western Divisional 250SMX Championship doubled as the midseason send-off before the Eastern Division joins the fray next weekend, and it produced one of the standout races of the season.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

The 15-Minute + 1 Lap Main Event quickly became a two-rider showcase between championship leader Haiden Deegan and hometown favourite Levi Kitchen.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

It was Max Anstie who grabbed the holeshot for Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing, but it took only a few minutes for Deegan to assert control. The Yamaha rider sliced to the front with authority and immediately began dictating the pace on a track that would steadily deteriorate.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

Kitchen, meanwhile, was charging. Starting fifth, the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider picked his way through the field and moved into second before the halfway mark, setting up a direct confrontation with Deegan.

What followed was the most sustained challenge to Deegan’s dominance this season.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

The pair traded the lead four times in a tense, calculated duel. With just over seven minutes remaining, Deegan appeared to concede the position while negotiating lapped traffic, allowing Kitchen to build a multi-second buffer. For several laps, it looked as though the hometown hero had the race under control.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

But as ruts deepened and traffic intensified, both riders were forced off preferred lines. Minor errors crept in. Deegan remained patient, gradually reeling Kitchen back in before launching repeated inside attacks. A missed rhythm from Kitchen opened the door, and Deegan capitalised with just over two minutes to run.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

The crowd lifted Kitchen as he responded immediately to reclaim the lead, only for Deegan to execute one final decisive pass with roughly a minute remaining. From there, he controlled the closing laps to secure his fifth consecutive victory by 1.5 seconds.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

Kitchen’s runner-up finish marked his third straight second place and confirmed his resurgence after a slow start to the season. He also became the first rider to genuinely pressure Deegan across an entire race during this dominant run.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

Anstie rode a composed race to third, his first podium since winning the season opener.

2026 AMA Supercross Championship – Round Six – Lumen Field, Seattle

Championship Situation

Deegan’s win was his 12th career victory and extends his advantage to 35 points over Anstie heading into the break.

Michael Mosiman, who finished sixth, and Ryder DiFrancesco, fourth on the night, are tied for third in the standings, 36 points adrift.

Kitchen has climbed to fifth in the championship, 42 points behind Deegan, but now just seven points shy of Anstie for second.

The Western Division heads into its pause with momentum squarely behind Deegan, but Kitchen’s performance suggests the second half of the season may not be as straightforward as the firs

Quotes

Haiden Deegan

“That was gnarly. I went through after [the finish] and told [Kitchen] that was the gnarliest battle I have ever had racing. We were going back and forth. I don’t know what to say, that was the best I’ve had. I know it’s in his hometown so the [fans] may not like it, but I hope they enjoyed that one.”

Haiden Deegan
Levi Kitchen

“I think that’s the race everyone has been waiting for. I’m bummed I couldn’t get it done for the hometown, but I rode my heart out and [Deegan] did too. That had to be the coolest race of my life. We were going at it the whole time. Thanks to everyone here in Seattle; they were amazing. That was fun.”

Levi Kitchen
Max Anstie

“That was really tough. That was a tough track, and those boys [Deegan and Kitchen] were obviously riding awesome. It was amazing to hear the fans cheering for Levi. I’ve been struggling since Anaheim 1. I don’t know what it is, but my throat and my chest have been burning. Last week was bad too. I need to get it checked out because I don’t feel sick, but I can’t breathe right. My chest just burns.”

Max Anstie
Ryder DiFrancesco

“I didn’t have the best day in Seattle.  Out of the six rounds, this is probably the one I struggled with the most, so a fourth is a decent result entering the four-week break now. We’ll get that fire lit again, take a little time off, and regroup. Today was a bit of a struggle, although I am pretty stoked to come away with P4 and be tied for third in points.”

Ryder DiFrancesco
Cameron McAdoo

“I had a few struggles today.  I was struggling with comfort a bit in qualifying, and then I had an unfortunate crash in the heat race that banged me up pretty good. To come back and finish fifth in the main was the best I had tonight. I’m glad I was able to fight through it with how I was feeling. We’ll regroup and keep pushing.”
