Wildwood Rock gains HEWR World Ranking status
Steve Braszell’s Wildwood Rock Extreme Enduro in Victoria will become a points-scoring event in the new Hard Enduro World Ranking (HEWR) system in 2026, listed as a Masters category round. The event is scheduled for the November 7–8 weekend at Wildwood, around 22 km from Melbourne Airport, and is run on private property on Feehans Road.
Event organisers have published a two-day format, with a Bronze prologue on November 7 and Gold/Silver prologue plus the main event on November 8.

Events are grouped into Supreme, Premium, Masters and Challenger tiers, and riders do not need a special ranking registration to be included, with results flowing in automatically from listed rounds.
HEWR has also announced a minimum USD $100,000 season prize pool, paid as USD $10,000 to each of the top 10 riders in the final standings, with participation free for Premium, Masters and Challenger events (while Supreme events contribute via a participation fee).

Karl Katoch – Co-initiator of the Hard Enduro World Ranking
“With the Hard Enduro World Ranking, we’re creating maximum benefit for everyone: Riders gain international visibility, fair opportunities, and real prize money; events grow through clear categories and bigger fields; and the industry profits from a more professional, transparent scene. This is the next big step in the professionalisation of Hard Enduro—straightforward, rider-focused, and for the entire community.”
The classification into Supreme, Premium, Masters, and Challenger follows clear rules based on objective factors such as the number of top riders, overall participation, level of event professionalism, and media reach.
Regarding the WERA (World Enduro Riders Association): The riders’ association has announced it will contest only six of the nine HEWC races in 2026. The Hard Enduro World Ranking fully respects this understandable stance and will automatically list those six races as Hard Enduro World Ranking events to bridge the systems and give riders more options.
