Leisk Moto Imports – LMI

Official Announcement

British-born motorbike brand BSA Motorcycles is set to officially launch in Australia this year, bringing its exciting line-up of reimagined classic models to yet another new continent. The global bike manufacturer has appointed Leisk Moto Imports (LMI) as the official importer and distributor for the Australian market.

BSA’s global expansion isn’t slowing down, as it sets its sights on a brand-new market. Australia is the next target for the heritage motorcycle company, which began over a century ago, having been given a new lease of life by owner Classic Legend Pvt Ltd, and a stellar offering of reimagined vintage bikes.

BSA will initially launch three of its models in Australia: the classic redefined BSA Gold Star 650, the rugged BSA Scrambler 650, and the agile BSA Bantam 350. Each model is a conscious choice by BSA to introduce more people to the joy of riding by making it accessible regardless of age or skill level.

Every BSA motorcycle honours its storied heritage and classic design, whilst promising the power and efficiency of a modern-day bike which is Euro 5+ compliant

The brand new BSA Gold Star 650, a powerful 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder modern-retro roadster, was launched first in 2022 shortly after BSA made its long-awaited return, following an acquisition by global giant Mahindra through its subsidiary Classic Legends Pvt Ltd.

In 2024, the BSA Scrambler 650 was first revealed; a versatile city Scrambler with on and off-roading capabilities, Brembo brakes, dual-channel ABS, and grippy Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres.

The surprise launch of the BSA Bantam 350 hit the UK market last summer. A swift modern-day bike with classic features including a round headlight, teardrop fuel tank and curved rear fender. The original BSA Bantam was credited with getting post-war Britain moving again and the new BSA Bantam 350 is just as accessible, encapsulating the freedom of easy riding.

LMI is led by Managing Director Jeff Leisk, one of Australia’s most respected figures in the motorcycle industry. A former professional racer who competed internationally and represented Australia on the world stage, Jeff brings deep industry knowledge and a lifelong passion for motorcycling to the BSA brand.

Having served as Managing Director of KTM Australia for more than 20 years, he possesses extensive experience across distribution, dealer development, marketing, racing, and customer engagement.

The brand’s fourth model and first adventure bike, the BSA Thunderbolt, which debuted at the international bike show, EICMA, in Milan late last year, is due for release late this year. The Thunderbolt features rally-style aesthetics, premium traction control and three ABS modes. The model is a nod to the original Thunderbolt tourer from the past, whilst meeting the needs of a present-day thrill-seeker.
